Business documents – be they annual reports, programmes or proposals are great opportunities to remind your clients and customers of your dedication to good business practises. If you pitch to a client and the document is difficult to read or sloppily designed it will be difficult to convince them that you are going to treat them, their product and potentially your business relationship with due care. However if you put some effort into getting your documents reading well, free of errors and well designed, following your brand, this will make an immediate favourable impression.
Remember when discussing the production of business documents, Microsoft Word is a very good word processor but is a very clumsy design tool. Your graphic designer will be more efficient and will produce better results in dedicated design tools such as Adobe Indesign.
